专业概况

在这里学什么？

Neuroscience is an interdisciplinary field in which biology, psychology, biochemistry, computer science, and other disciplines work together to unravel the mysteries of the nervous system. Students conduct research of at least a year’s duration, and complete an honors thesis by the end of senior year. Majors complete a rigorous course of study that prepares them for graduate school or employment with a neuroscience laboratory or company. This growing field exemplifies the exciting, cutting-edge gains that interdisciplinary science is expected to achieve in the future.

为来自中国的学生设计 Applicants must have high school program incorporating 4 years of English, 4 years of social studies, 3 years of math, 3 years of foreign language, and at least 2 years of lab science. Strong candidates have a high school average of B (GPA = 80) or better, or a GED of at least 3500. Applicants also need to submit SAT or ACT scores. Applicants, who score below a 100 on the TOEFL IBT, or below a 7 on the IELTS, will be required to register for the Graduate English as a Second Language (GESL) course during the first semester.
