The Digital Arts and Design Film and Cinematic Arts program (offered on campus) lays a solid foundation in directing and editing for film and design. You’ll learn how to tell a story using the latest software technologies and mediums. From the camera to lighting and sound, you’ll learn about essential techniques for video and film production. You will also have the chance to make your own films, a great way to build your portfolio.

The film and cinematic arts program is actually a specialization of the digital arts and design degree. This means you'll take core requirements that will prepare you to work on multimedia design teams and teach you design essentials.

Integrated technology

Then, your film and cinematic arts specialization will build on this. You’ll work with current software and video production equipment on projects that mimic real-life experiences. You’ll learn how to create and edit animated and full-motion images, as well as script writing and story boarding. In the end, you'll have the experience to work in video production or continue your studies in film school or the digital arts—and everything in between.
