在这里学什么？ This is a **four year degree** taught at our Hope Park campus. The Foundation Year aims to develop your skills so that after a year, you will be equipped with the necessary skills needed for studying the full BA Hons degree programme.**Criminology**Crime and how to deal with it are amongst the most significant and contentious issues of our time, so it is vital that we understand this subject. Criminology is the study of crime, its causes and effects, and what we do about it. At Liverpool Hope University, you will study how crime is defined and who defines it, why some people commit offences, and what happens to those who commit crimes if they are caught.Criminology is taught by staff with considerable experience at national and international level. The Criminology team is enthusiastic and will help you to get the most out of your degree. Criminology is heavily focused on justice - how it is delivered, to whom, by whom and whether or not it is effective. This reflects Liverpool Hope’s commitment to social justice both nationally and internationally.**Nutrition**Nutrition is an increasingly important discipline with a focus on understanding how diet helps maintain health and prevent disease. Nutritionists have a key role to play in a wide range of professional roles providing and implementing evidence-based nutritional guidelines, public health nutrition strategies, and developing the safe, healthy and sustainable foods of the future . Our Nutrition degree is focussed on developing the practical, professional and research skills needed to develop a successful career as a professional nutritionist (as well as for further study or professional careers in dietetics, public health or the commercial food industry). The curriculum includes a focus on the delivery of five core competencies: nutritional science; food chain; social and behavioural sciences; health and wellbeing; and professional conduct. You will be taught in our new Health Sciences building, which features specialist laboratories and equipment dedicated to the study of food, nutrition and health. You will learn from a highly committed team of research-active registered nutritionists with a range of practical experience, who are enthusiastic about both the academic subject and the quality of your student experience.
