在这里学什么？ This is a **four year degree** taught at our Hope Park campus. The Foundation Year aims to develop your skills so that after a year, you will be equipped with the necessary skills needed for studying the full BA Hons degree programme.**Human Biology**Human Biology is an ever-evolving branch of science that includes the study of the human body, the changes that occur in disease, and the interaction between humans and their environment. With this in mind, the Human Biology curriculum provides a contemporary and dynamic programme designed to challenge students across a broad base, but with depth in areas of staff specialisms. During the course, students will be supported in gaining a thorough understanding of human biology and its application to real-world issues, through an integrated, innovative and applied curriculum. Students will leave the programme with a fully rounded skill set and with experience in a wide range of standard and specialist lab techniques. Students will gain experience, competence and confidence through small-group learning, which will provide specialist and transferable skills that will allow you to succeed in a competitive and demanding employment market.**Nutrition**Nutrition is an increasingly important discipline with a focus on understanding how diet helps maintain health and prevent disease. Nutritionists have a key role to play in a wide range of professional roles providing and implementing evidence-based nutritional guidelines, public health nutrition strategies, and developing the safe, healthy and sustainable foods of the future . Our Nutrition degree is focussed on developing the practical, professional and research skills needed to develop a successful career as a professional nutritionist (as well as for further study or professional careers in dietetics, public health or the commercial food industry). The curriculum includes a focus on the delivery of five core competencies: nutritional science; food chain; social and behavioural sciences; health and wellbeing; and professional conduct. You will be taught in our new Health Sciences building, which features specialist laboratories and equipment dedicated to the study of food, nutrition and health. You will learn from a highly committed team of research-active registered nutritionists with a range of practical experience, who are enthusiastic about both the academic subject and the quality of your student experience.
