专业概况

在这里学什么？ Extended degree programmes are a means of accessing degree study should you not meet the entry requirements for honours degree programmes. These five-year courses replace some of our former foundation degree and extended foundation degree programmes. Candidates will be assessed at the end of their first year of study and progress to either an ordinary degree (BSc) or Honours Degree (BSc Hons).Why study food? Providing a growing population with safe, wholesome, nutritious and affordable food, while addressing environmental concerns and limited resources is high on the UK’s agenda. The food industry (and the supporting land-based sector) is constantly evolving to meet the expectations of the consumer. Increasingly, people are becoming better informed and more demanding about their food and its quality. However, right across the UK’s food industry, there is a shortage of suitably qualified and experienced graduates with a technical understanding of food. At Harper Adams we offer food courses which develop multi-skilled graduates who will move ahead with the industry in a range of exciting and rewarding careers.5 years (full-time) including a one-year work placement.
