Why study Political Science BA - Advanced Concentration at UB?

In political science, students have a wide variety of backgrounds, interests, and career aspirations. As our range of possible concentrations in the department suggests, students interested in law school, public affairs, government service, graduate school, or international studies obtain a solid background with the courses offered. Owing to the methodological focus at the center of the advanced concentration in political science, with required courses in both game theory and statistics, students choosing to complete this particular track within the major are well-positioned to pursue jobs that require a facility with data analytics. The skillset developed through this particular concentration is also helpful preparation for graduate study in political science or a closely related field.
