在这里学什么？

Our master's program in school counseling, which can be taken in partnership with the certificate of advanced study, is designed to prepare you to meet New York State standards for school counselors for the provisional certificate and the permanent certificate. This program seeks to educate counselors to assist K–12 youth to develop skills involving educational, vocational and personal-social needs. Through our program, you will learn how to apply a diverse repertoire of helping strategies and techniques, conceptualize and implement a comprehensive school counseling program, and engage in evaluation of your efforts.

The features of our program include:

obtaining experience in the schools begins your first semester, accompanied by theory-based cases in school counseling, career development, and counseling theory learning to provide classroom guidance, small group, and one-on-one interventions to meet students' academic career, and personal/social need; as well as assist in post-graduation planning students complete school placements at a minimum of 2 of 3 levels (elementary, middle, high school) over 100 school counseling and internship sites available for placement

为来自中国的学生设计 Applicants must have a bachelor's degree (or higher) or the equivalent from an accredited/government recognized college or university. Most such degrees will be four or more years in length; UB recognizes some three-year degrees, but not all; A B-grade (GPA of 3.0) or higher from your bachelor's degree (or equivalent) courses. Grade point averages from non-U.S. universities will be evaluated by UB's Office of International Admissions. English Language Requirements: The minimum score of TOEFL IBT is 79, the minimum score TOEFL PBT is 550, the minimum score of IELTS is 6.5, the minimum score of PTE is 55, the minimum score of Cambridge English Proficiency (CPE) 185, the minimum score of Cambridge English Advanced (CAE) 185.
