专业概况

在这里学什么？ We are a community of award-winning novelists, poets and playwrights. Creative Writing at Essex has a great tradition of nurturing writers and thinkers. From past giants such as Robert Lowell, Ted Berrigan and Ben Okri who have shaped literature as we know it, to prize-winning contemporary writers such as Professors Derek Walcott and Marina Warner, Essex has always attracted people who are at the heart of defining and redefining literature. We teach a unique approach which deepens your knowledge of literary tradition across a variety of modes and genres to develop your practical skills of expression and invention. Our modules lead you into varied modes of writing through planned readings and writing exercises, expanding your techniques as well as critical judgement of your own work.On the four-year MLitSt Creative Writing, you will be part of an interdisciplinary department and well-established home to practising poets, dramatists, novelists and critics.
