专业概况

在这里学什么？ One of the five most widely spoken languages in the world, Russian is your gateway to a great many cultural and artistic movements. Studying Russian and History of Art helps us understand the world in which we live now, as well as shedding light on the past. On our programme, you have the opportunity to develop advanced language skills while gaining the broad cultural education prized by graduate employers. You will learn about Russian literature, art, music and film, past and present. Beyond the Russian-speaking world, studying History of Art will introduce you to art from different periods and cultures. You will learn how and for whom works of art were made, explore their meaning, and discover the ways they were - and continue to be - interpreted. Our Year 1 courses are streamed according to how much Russian you already know, so it does not matter if you are a complete beginner. Intensive language tuition, and a year spent studying in Russia, will teach you how to read, write and speak the language to a high standard, including in translation.
