Degree requirements

Thesis option

• 12 credit hours of core courses
• 12 credit hours of electives
• 2 credit hours of a seminar course in materials science and engineering
• 6 credit hours of thesis

Non-thesis option

• 12 credit hours of core courses
• 15 credit hours of electives
• 2 credit hours of a seminar course in materials science and engineering
• 6 credit hours of research courses in lieu of thesis
