专业概况
在这里学什么？The Division of Music Education offers two degree options that lead toward a master’s degree (MME). Requisite for both options is a bachelor’s degree in music education and at least one (1) year of successful classroom teaching experience. Both degree options in the MME are 34 semester credit hours and include a teaching emphasis and a research emphasis.
The teaching emphasis is recommended for experienced educators in school music programs who seek to advance their knowledge in the practice and theory of music instruction.
The research emphasis is recommended for experienced music educators who seek to advance their music instruction knowledge and who may be contemplating college-level teaching at a later point in their careers. Enrollment is highly recommended for individuals preparing for possible doctoral work in music education.
The Teaching Emphasis track is recommended for experienced teachers in school music programs who seek to advance their knowledge in the practice and theory of music instruction. This degree allows students choices in different areas of specialization.
