University at Buffalo School of Law is one of only a few law schools located on an international border. We offer a myriad of cross-border learning opportunities, including our new cross-border legal studies concentration. The National Jurist recently recognized our law school as a top tier school for its outstanding value, and as a member of an honor roll of law schools that deliver practical training. In addition to being acknowledged by On Being a Black Lawyer as a top school for black students, Super Lawyer's magazine ranked us 48th out of 180 law schools in the country that produce "Super Lawyers".

A law school education incorporates both the theory of law and the real-world skills that new graduates need to succeed as lawyers.

The Juris Doctor is the basic U.S. law degree, and is held by the vast majority of practicing U.S. lawyers, as well as businesspeople, policy makers, academics and people in other walks of life.

A signature component of the J.D. program is the school’s exceptional Legal Analysis, Writing and Research Program that requires students to take three semesters of Research and Writing, including two in the first year, and to devote significant attention to the skills they will need to practice law.

The LAWR program, based on proven methodologies, was developed in consultation with education experts, judges, judicial clerks and attorneys to produce a curriculum designed to prepare students to hit the ground running in their initial legal position. The University at Buffalo School of Law’s legal skills program also comprises moot court and trial technique experiences, published journals, professional development initiatives and service-learning opportunities.

为来自中国的学生设计 Applicants must have a bachelor's degree (or higher) or the equivalent from an accredited/government recognized college or university. Most such degrees will be four or more years in length; UB recognizes some three-year degrees, but not all; A B-grade (GPA of 3.0) or higher from your bachelor's degree (or equivalent) courses. Grade point averages from non-U.S. universities will be evaluated by UB's Office of International Admissions. English Language Requirements: The minimum score of TOEFL IBT is 79, the minimum score TOEFL PBT is 550, the minimum score of IELTS is 6.5, the minimum score of PTE is 55, the minimum score of Cambridge English Proficiency (CPE) 185, the minimum score of Cambridge English Advanced (CAE) 185.
