Seen by some as the next superpower and by others as a continent in decline, at Essex we take an innovative, interdisciplinary approach to the study of Europe. We combine subjects from across the humanities and social sciences to investigate and debate a topic that is of vital importance to the future of both the UK and the entire world. You have the opportunity to study one or more European languages and spend your third year at a European university of your choice, so that you can truly explore and become immersed in European culture.
