专业概况

在这里学什么？

Mathematics education is for those who want to share the simple beauty of a perfectly expressed equation. It's for those who want to show their students that there is more to infinity. DSU's mathematics education major will prepare you.

Our graduates are trained to teach both math and computer science classes. You'll receive a full-fledged mathematics education major, and you'll also have a K–12 educational technology endorsement. It's built right into the degree. This means you will not only know how to integrate technology into your classrooms, but you can teach computer classes at elementary, middle and high school levels.

Math education classes are close-knit and hands-on, letting you work closely with our faculty. Our faculty has real-life experience teaching and working with state education projects. As a student in their classrooms, you'll receive real-world advice.

为来自中国的学生设计 Applicants must meet at least one of these requirements: Have an above-average academic record at least equivalent to a "B-" (2.60 on a 4.00 GPA scale), Be in the top 60% of your class, Get an ACT composite score of 18 or above, or get a sub score on the SAT Reasoning Test Math and Critical Reading of 870 or above. English Language Requirements: TOEFL iBT: 79; TOEFL PBT: 550; IELTS: 6.5; PTE Academic: 53; SAT: Minimum sub-score of 500 on both Critical Reading and Writing; ACT: Minimum sub-score of 22 on the Writing/English; Completion of ELS Level 112.
