Explore the actions of individuals, groups and organizations from a scientific perspective to promote health.

In the program, you will:

• Engage in theory-based analysis of the determinants of health behavior
• Learn how to design, implement and evaluate evidence-based interventions for public health problems in populations

Career Opportunities

As a public health professional with expertise in community health and health behavior, you will be involved with implementing policies and programs that promote behavioral change and enhance public health (for example, smoking cessation, increasing physical activity, improving diet or reducing risky behaviors). You will be prepared to work in a range of settings, including:

• Local, state, national or international public health agencies
• Health care delivery systems such as hospitals and managed care organizations
• Nonprofit health agencies
• Private research firms

为来自中国的学生设计 Applicants must have a bachelor's degree (or higher) or the equivalent from an accredited/government recognized college or university. Most such degrees will be four or more years in length; UB recognizes some three-year degrees, but not all; A B-grade (GPA of 3.0) or higher from your bachelor's degree (or equivalent) courses. Grade point averages from non-U.S. universities will be evaluated by UB's Office of International Admissions. English Language Requirements: The minimum score of TOEFL IBT is 79, the minimum score TOEFL PBT is 550, the minimum score of IELTS is 6.5, the minimum score of PTE is 55, the minimum score of Cambridge English Proficiency (CPE) 185, the minimum score of Cambridge English Advanced (CAE) 185.
