上师大附二外国际部每周一次的升旗仪式准时到来了，本周主持人是来自10年级的蒋同学和夏同学，在庄严的升旗仪式后，施秀英老师为大家发表了主题为“中国文化之美”的演讲。

The weekly flag-raising ceremony arrived on time. This week, the hosts were Crystal Jiang and Andy Xia from Grade 10. After the solemn flag-raising ceremony, Ms. Elena Shi delivered a speech on the theme of "The Beauty of Chinese Culture".

在概述中国文化的博大精深之后，施老师借即将到来的端午节，与大家分享中国文化之美的三个方面：美德、礼仪和情感。施老师提到生长在礼仪之邦的我们，美德是深入骨髓的，大家要把这种**发挥出来;生活在先哲辈出的国度，博学、审问是人尽皆知的，大家应以此来提高自己的批判性思维能力。施老师还希望大家无论身在何处，都要怀有一颗爱国之心，都要有一身凛然正气。这正是我部校训“成志向、秉仁信、尚敬重”希望大家做到的。最后，施老师欢迎大家参与到即将到来的中方文化节的各项活动中，从而发扬中国文化之美!

After summarizing the extensive and profound Chinese culture, the speaker shares with everyone three aspects of the beauty of Chinese culture: virtue, etiquette and emotion through the upcoming Dragon Boat Festival. The speaker mentioned that we grew up in a country of etiquette, and our virtues are our hallmark. We should bring this kind of qualification into full play. Living in a country where many sages came from, we all know how to learn and interrogate, and we should use this to improve our critical thinking ability. The speaker also hopes that everybody, no matter where they are, will have a patriotic heart and a dignified spirit. This is what our school motto hopes you to achieve "Aspiration, Integrity, Respect". Finally, the speaker welcomes everyone to participate in the upcoming activities of the Chinese Cultural Festival, so as to carry forward the beauty of Chinese culture!

接着，崔晶校长为11年级5班颁发“五月份优秀班级”奖状，这份荣誉是班级师生共同努力的结果，大家应向他们看齐!

Then, Principal Cui awarded the certificate of "Excellent Class in May" to Class 5, Grade 11. This is to honor the students for their effort in helping the teachers for a better organization. We hope everyone can learn from such beautiful act of hard work.

然后，胡勇老师为614、901和1008三个寝室颁发“五月份文明寝室”流动红旗，领奖代表们自信满满，很为自己优秀的生活能力感到自豪。你们真是好样的!

Then, Mr. Hu Yong issued the May “cleanest dormitory” flag to these rooms: 614, 901 and 1008. The award-winning delegates were confident and proud of their excellent living ability. Well done guys!
