The master's MA education program in Speech-Language Pathology at Queens College is accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), 2200 Research Boulevard #310, Rockville, MD, 20850, , and is approved by the New York State Department of Education. Students completing the program fulfill the academic and practicum requirements for ASHA clinical certification in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP); professional licensure in New York State in Speech-Language Pathology; and, entry-level certification as Teachers of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD) in New York State.

The graduate program requires two years of full-time study including one summer session. Entering students begin in the fall semester only. A major feature of the program is its highly individualized and personal approach. Classes are small and taught by an exceptional faculty who are readily available to students. Most members of the faculty are actively involved in one-to-one clinical mentorship in addition to classroom teaching. Each entering class follows the same course sequence and as such becomes a close-knit, learning group.

为来自中国的学生设计 All students applying for admission as master's matriculants must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or the foreign equivalent, with an undergraduate record indicating good preparation for the proposed area of graduate study. Good preparation is generally interpreted to mean a minimum academic average of B in undergraduate work considered by the department and the Office of Graduate Studies to be relevant to the proposed area of study. Applicants, who score below a 100 on the TOEFL IBT, or below a 7 on the IELTS, will be required to register for the Graduate English as a Second Language (GESL) course during the first semester.
