专业概况
在这里学什么?The Department of Classics at the University at Buffalo includes programs in Greek and Latin Language and Literature, Greco-Roman History and Classical Archaeology. Its faculty is renowned for scholarship in all of these areas, and offers graduate training that combines specialization with foundations of considerable breadth. In the first year of study, students are given the opportunity to strengthen their command of the classical languages, and to survey methods, content, and issues across the field as a whole. By the second year, students will further develop distinctive areas of interest in order to undertake independent investigations.
Degree Requirements
In order to earn the M.A. degree, Classics track, students must:
complete 30 credit-hours of course work (including required courses) complete four core courses: CL 527 History of Greek Literature, CL 590 Greek Syntax and Stylistics, CL 538 History of Latin Literature, CL 595 Latin Syntax and Stylistics; complete an M.A. project or pass an M.A. exam; pass a translation exam in one modern language (either French, German, Italian, or modern Greek)*

为来自中国的学生设计 Applicants must have a bachelor's degree (or higher) or the equivalent from an accredited/government recognized college or university. Most such degrees will be four or more years in length; UB recognizes some three-year degrees, but not all; A B-grade (GPA of 3.0) or higher from your bachelor's degree (or equivalent) courses. Grade point averages from non-U.S. universities will be evaluated by UB's Office of International Admissions. English Language Requirements: The minimum score of TOEFL IBT is 79, the minimum score TOEFL PBT is 550, the minimum score of IELTS is 6.5, the minimum score of PTE is 55, the minimum score of Cambridge English Proficiency (CPE) 185, the minimum score of Cambridge English Advanced (CAE) 185.课程信息
