专业概况
在这里学什么?A degree in aerospace engineering is designed to prepare students to assume leadership positions in the aerospace industry and related industries. This includes the traditional aeronautics and astronautics applications (subsonic and supersonic aircraft, satellites, space shuttle, space station, etc.) as well as aerospace-related component development (design of structures, devices and instruments), and vehicle and propulsion system design. A variety of industries appreciate and seek the talents of aerospace engineers.
We offer MS degrees in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering. Students are trained for careers in engineering practice and/or further study at the doctoral level.
Curriculum
The Aerospace Engineering Master of Science programs have no core course requirements. However, at least 21 credits of the student's program must be MAE courses.
MS with Thesis
Required for students receiving financial support (TA, RA, or GA) through the department.
Minimum Requirements:
At least eight approved graduate courses (24 to 27 credit hours) 3 to 6 credit hours of thesis registration, for a total of 30 credit hours.

All-Course MS Minimum Requirements:
At least ten approved graduate courses (30 credit hours)
Dual MS Degree
It is possible for a student to complete a program leading to two MS degrees, for example, the Mechanical Engineering and Aerospace Engineering degrees described, or one of those and a second degree from another engineering discipline and department.
