第12届全球青年模拟联合国大会将于2019年8月3日在北京国家会议中心召开，此次会议为期4天。为鼓励学生积极报名参与，上师大附二外国际部于5月23日在一楼多功能厅召开“全球青年模拟联合国大会宣讲暨模联分享会”。首先李跃超老师向大家介绍模联活动以及全球青年模联会议的相关安排，接着闫栋同学与大家分享他在芝加哥大学模联的参会经历。

The 12th Global Youth Model United Nations Conference will be held in Beijing National Convention Center on August 3rd, 2019. The conference will last for four days. To encourage students to register actively, Our division held a " Global Youth Model United Nations Conference Proclamation and MUN Association Sharing Meeting " on May 23. First, Mr. Jacky Li introduced the Model United Nations Conference and gave relevant details of the upcoming event. Then Jimmy Yan shared his experience of participating in the Model United Nations Conference held by the University of Chicago.

李老师详细生动地介绍了MUN的概况和MUN对参与者的影响，并展示了现场的照片和视频。学生们从中看到了同龄人中的楷模，不禁钦佩、感慨起来，并生发出要向他们学习的强烈意愿。

Mr. Jacky Li gave a detailed and vivid introduction to MUN and how MUN has a positive effect on the participants. He also showed photos and videos of MUN meetings. The students were able to see their own peers busy in various MUN related activities and were able to learn and draw inspiration from them.

来自11年级的闫栋同学，是我部学生会副**，也是参加芝加哥大学模联国际部代表队的队长。他坦言，初次参会有很多不适应。最明显的是食宿上的巨大落差，当时就很怀念自己学校的食堂和宿舍。此外，虽然经过多次培训，但初进会场，仍旧无所适从。尤其是**个阶段的会议，面对突如其来的复杂规则和程序，他焦急万分，努力回想着培训内容，但无济于事。后来通过李跃超老师的鼓励，再加上自己的努力，他下定决心一定要做出改变，一定要上台发言。终于在第三天，**邀请他发言。闫栋同学说当时自己的心里既兴奋又紧张，站在台上，面对整个会场，鼓足勇气，用响亮的声音清晰地表达着自己的想法。短短一分钟，全身都是汗，回到座位后心还在怦怦直跳。

Jimmy Yan, a student from the 11th grade, is the vice president of the Student Union and also the school representative of the University of Chicago MUN conference. He admits that the initial participation in the conference was not ideal. The sleeping and eating facilities at our school were superior to those he experienced. He also felt that, despite all the training he had, the reality of the event was a bit overwhelming. Realizing that this was the time to make the most of every opportunity, on the third day he summoned up the courage to go to the stage and speak. Standing on the stage made him both excited and nervous. Besides, facing the entire audience requires a lot of courage, but despite the challenges he was able to clearly articulate his thoughts. He remembers returning to his seat with his heart still pounding and feeling the perspiration running down his back!

闫同学说自己参会的**收获不仅是在讲台上侃侃而谈，也不只是结识众多志同道合的有志青年，最重要的是**了模联精神：自信、严谨、激情和执着。

Jimmy said that the biggest gain of his participation was not only talking on the stage, but also being able to meet many like-minded and ambitious young people. Through participating in the MUN conference, he was able to develop more self-confidence, rigor, passion and persistence.
