上海师范大学附属第二外国语学校科学月如期举行，所有家长均被邀请参加。师生济济一堂，共享“科学盛宴”。

The Science Month was successfully held as scheduled at the Second Foreign Language School Affiliated to Shanghai Normal University. All parents were invited to attend. Teachers and students gathered together to share in the "Science feast".

怎样让鸡蛋从高处落下不破碎?纸杯是否能支撑起人体的重量?柠檬汁能否去污?踢足球起跑第几步有助于把足球踢得更远，跟足球鞋的品牌有关吗?——一个个脑洞大开的科学研究课题，都似乎诞生于“否定”答案中，但唯有做了才发现科学的新天地和乐趣。

How do you make an egg drop from a high altitude without it breaking? Can paper cups support the weight of the human body? Can lemon juice remove rust? Will a run-up of a certain number of paces and “famous brand” shoes help to kick a football further? Every imaginative scientific research topic seems to be born out of the "no" answer, but only by asking these questions can we make new discoveries and experience the fun of science.

现场有3个项目特别吸引关注，让我们来一探究竟吧!

There are 3 projects which have attracted the most onlookers…let us find out what they are!

手工口红

9年级潘婷婷、刘安妮、王诸荧、王思诺、杨洋、吴乐怡6位同学在现场以叫卖“纯天然手工口红”吸引了大量围观。通过她们的介绍，制作口红的秘密不胫而走。以制作玫瑰色的口红为例，不仅需要两种不同的红色搭配而且还必须添加1种蓝色，选择天然的葡萄籽油调和，加入蜂蜡将其固化最后导装入模。一支可吃的口红正式诞生!当日该队的20支口红在30分钟内一抢而空!

手工口红

In Grade 9, (American Department),/ Grade 11 students, Pan Tingting, Annie Liu, Wang Zhuying, Wang Sinuo, Yang Yang and Wu Leyi have a crowd gathered around their display of “natural handmade lipstick”. Through their project, they reveal to us the secret of lipstick –making. For example, in the case of a rosy colored lipstick, not only 2 shades of red, but also a blue tint must be used to achieve the rosy color. Natural grape seed oil is blended and beeswax added to solidify it and then it is placed into a lipstick shape mould. A delicious edible lipstick is born! The team’s 20 lipsticks were sold out in 30 minutes!

矿石解说

由5年级的谈镒洲、赵浩宇、章致宁、庄佳和同学组成的矿石研究队，靠多年矿石样本收藏和专业的解说引起了大家的注意。队长谈镒洲对矿石有着异常丰富的热爱，从矿石的种类、起源、全球分布到勘探、加工了如指掌。他是行走的矿石代言人，曾在“CPBL少年工程院”发表《欧洲钻石之旅》。大家常见的海蓝宝、紫水晶、琥珀、翡翠、钻石品级，他能辨别品相。未来的珠宝鉴定大师非他莫属!

矿石解说

Making up the Ore research team are Grade 5 students, Tan Yizhou, Zhao Haoyu, Zhang Zhining, Zhuang Jia . Through many years of ore sample collection, their professional presentation has attracted the attention of everyone. Group leader, Tan Yizhou, has a very rich love for ore: from the ore type, origin, global distribution of the ore, to exploration and processing; he has all the knowledge at his fingertips. He is the representitive for exploring minerals and published the “European Diamond Journey” at the “CPBL Juvenile Engineering Institute.” The common sea blue sapphire, amethyst, amber, jade and different grades of diamonds -he can identify each one. He is the future jewelry expert!

编程展示

金小旭、李羽睿、吴梓铭、曹博诚同学组成的编程展示队，集科学性、趣味性、智能性、展示性为一体，由于展示面积庞大当之无愧的成为现场的“吸睛之王”。

Students, Jin Xiaoxu ,Li Yurui ,Wu Ziming ,Cao Bocheng made up the programming team: it is scientific, interesting, intelligent and eye-catching. Due to their large displays, this area formed a centerpiece of the fair.

编程展示

专业的评审团也是本次科学节的亮点，评审标准以“四个多少”为核心：该学生付出了多少努力;完成了多少**;获得了多少知识;以及展示了多少主动性。专业评审出来的荣誉实至名归，现场有几名学生获奖后感动落泪!

The professional judges were also a highlight of this Science festival. The evaluation criteria were as follows: Four critical components of the projects were assessed –The effort put forth by the student; how much work he has done; how much knowledge he has gained; and how motivated he was for this project. All of the students were judged fairly. At the awards ceremony, several students were moved to tears after winning a prize!

什么是赢?就是您的孩子比昨天的自己进步了，无论有无奖项荣誉，这就是赢!这是本届科学节邀请函上的一句话，在此送给所有为此付出过、拼搏过、感动过的全体师生和家长!

But what is winning? “It is when the student can show that they know more today than they did yesterday. This means that everyone is a winner!” This is a line from the invitation letter to parents to attend this year’s Science fair. It is a message of gratitude and congratulations to all the teachers, students and parents who have worked hard to make it successful. We hope this will inspire all students to keep on trying!
