模拟联合国简称模联，是对联合国大会和其它多边机构的仿真学术模拟。学生们通过亲自参与来熟悉联合国等多边议事机构的运作方式、基础国际关系与外交知识，并了解世界发生的大事对他们未来的影响，从而树立国际公民意识，更好地定位自身在将来想发挥的作用。为了在即将到来的模联大赛中更好地发挥学生们的水平，上师大附二外国际部近期组织了多次培训：

Model United Nations (MUN) is a simulation of the General Assembly of the United Nations. Through participation, students become familiar with the modus operandi of the United Nations. They also learn about international relations and diplomacy and develop an understanding of the impact of world events on their future. This enables them to move towards becoming global citizens and helps them prepare to play a more active role in the global world.

To give our student the best possible chance of competing successfully at a high level in the upcoming MUN, the school has organized a number of workshops:

2019年3月12日

**次培训，距离参会还有16天，李跃超老师向学生们介绍了本次芝加哥大学举办的模联的基本情况，比如参加与结束的时间、住宿安排、注意事项、会议着装和外出纪律等，并一一解答学生们提出的各种问题。

At the first workshop on March 12, Mr. Jacky Li introduced students to the basic information regarding this MUN event, which is hosted by the University of Chicago. Students were given the basic rules and routine regarding the competition. Students were also able to have all their questions answered.

2019年3月17日

第二次培训，距离参会还有11天，由活动主办方邀请的来自同济大学英语专业的张老师进行系统的培训。张老师是模联的**参与者，有着丰富的参会经验。她为学生们耐心地讲解了模联的会议流程、立场文件的书写，并为学生们解答疑惑。她坦言，虽然长达四天的模联会议容易让参与者感到疲惫，但会场热烈的氛围令每位参与者积极思考，勇于挑战，拼尽全力争取自己国家的利益。

The second workshop was held on March 17, and was led by Ms. Zhang, who is an English major student at Tong Ji University. She is a senior participant in MUN and has extensive experience. She explained the meeting process of MUN and the writing of position papers to the students, and answered their questions. She warned students that because the conference was held over four days, it was easy for students to lose focus. However, the heated discussion will make each participant think positively and try their best to fight for the interests of their own country.

模拟联合国培训

2019年3月20日

第三次培训，距离参会还有8天，主要由ELA课题组长Ms. La Forest给同学们进行立场文件撰写的培训。Ms. La Forest有着丰富的模拟联合国指导经验，这次她志愿作为模拟联合国带队教师指导学生参会，从而让每位同学都能够在专业的指导下得到充分的体验和锻炼。首先，她给学生们下发了厚厚的所属委员会的背景材料，指导学生如何阅读背景材料，如何抓住议题的关键;之后，她让学生以委员会分组，基于议题帮助各个委员会分析自身所代表国家的国情，给予学生专业的建议，并着手书写立场文件。学生们在积极的讨论中开始书写各自的立场文件。同时，学生们主动询问指导老师自己遇到的问题，Ms. La Forest与李跃超老师积极地与学生沟通、解决问题。两位老师甚至与学生们融为一体，直接参与到热烈的讨论中，从而激发学生们的想法。

The third training was held on March 20, and was led by Ms. La Forest, the HOD of the English Department who also has extensive experience with MUN. Her focus was mainly on the writing of position papers. She has also volunteered to be the lead teacher of MUN to help guide students how to participate in the conference, so that each student can make a meaningful contribution and also develop understanding. Her focus was on how to read the background material to grasp the key issues. Following that, she divided the students into groups and helped each committee analyze the national conditions of the country they represented based on the topics, gave suggestions on their positions, and started them with the writing of position papers. The students enthusiastically began writing their position papers. They were able to consult with both Ms. La Forest and Mr. Li, who managed the discussion, which at times was quite heated and energetic!

2019年3月27日

最后一次培训，距离参会还有1天。这次行前培训中，李跃超老师主要强调了会议整体安排、出行准备以及会议注册相关流程。Ms. La Forest指导每位同学完成最终立场文件的修改。在紧张忙碌的气氛中，结束了所有会前培训**。

The final training was held on March 27th. In this pre-trip training, Mr. Jacky Li mainly emphasized the overall arrangement of the meeting, travel preparations and relevant procedures of meeting registration. Ms. La Forest instructed each student to complete the revision of the final position statement. In a tense and busy atmosphere, all pre-conference training work was completed.
