The many benefits of reading have been impressed on every student. The spirit of reading has been transmitted to every corner of the campus. But…how do we help everyone to really love reading? The teachers at SFLS know what to do!

读书讲座

我校剑桥部融合课程主任徐海宁博采众长，融汇贯通，酷爱读书。她抓住学生的痛点，引经据典予以解答。最让人印象深刻的是徐主任分享了她自己“热爱读书的不二法门”。她还频出金句：“人人都爱新奇好玩的事物，对比爱读书的人，不爱读书的人一定是打开书本的姿势不对。”“正确姿势只有三步：1.挑自己爱读的书;2.重点挑自己爱看的章节，或者通过找茬，比较，调侃的角度去捣鼓这本书;3.看完一本再换一本——坚持成习惯。”

Ms. Xu Haining, the Director of the Cambridge Curriculum Integration Department at our school, is very experienced in her field and loves to read. She used as her inspiration the troubles that students have, and cited from the classics to answer their questions and experiences. She shared her own personal way she grew to love reading and frequently referred to a golden sentence: “ Everyone loves fresh, original and fun things. Compared with those who love reading, those who don’t, must be opening the book in the wrong manner. The correct way can be explained in 3 steps: 1. Choose a book that you would like to read; 2. Focus on the chapters you would like to read, or compare, contrast and investigate different viewpoints in the book; 3. Finish reading the book and select another one – persist in this way. "

亲子阅读

我校剑桥小学部副主任施亭老师组织负责剑桥小学部的亲子阅读，既让家长和学生享受美好的亲子时光，又加强了孩子阅读的趣味性。施亭老师提前温馨提示家长和学生着睡衣，带玩具娃娃来参加活动，使整个活动饱满丰富。

Ms. Shi Ting, Assistant Director of the Cambridge Primary School Department, is in charge of parents and children reading together. This activity not only allows parents and their children to spend quality time together, but also enhances the interest of children in reading books. She gave advanced notice to parents and children to dress in pyjamas and bring their favorite soft toy to school to enjoy and warm and comfortable time together.

本次“书香伴我成长”并不局限于一天或一周，而是长期持续。后序还有“趣味阅读照”，“向经典人物致敬服饰秀”“友伴阅读”等等。

This event of “Reading for Pleasure-Surrounded by Books” is not limited to a day or a week. It is long-lasting. There is also the “Reading for Interest “ , “ Tribute to Classical Characters Fashion ” and “Friends Reading Together”.
